Hong Kong is striving to provide more sea room and priority use of anchorages by green maritime fuels to facilitate bunkering operations.

The intended anchorage position will be reserved in advance for scheduled green maritime fuel bunkering operations for a 24-hour period, based on the time and location provided in the Pre-Notification of bunkering operations.

If a vessel arrives 24 hours or more before the scheduled bunkering operation in which it will be involved, an anchorage position will be assigned on a "first come, first served" basis.
