Certificate of Registry

Upon receipt of all necessary documents and information and the Preregistration Quality Control (PRQC) assessment (if required) are found in order, the Registrar of Ships will grant a Certificate of Registry (CoR), in the specified form, containing the particulars relating to the ship entered in the register.

Collection of CoR

CoR could be collected at the Hong Kong Shipping Registry, Marine Department in Room 302, 3/F, Harbour Building 38 Pier Road, Central Hong Kong.

To facilitate Hong Kong registered vessels to be set sail immediately after delivery at shipyards or completion of transactions, the service for collection of CoR Envelope is also available at

the Beijing Office (BJO);
the Economic and Trade Offices (ETO) at Tokyo;
the Liaison Units (LU) at Shenyang and Jinan; and
the Regional Desk (RD) of Hong Kong Shipping Registry at Shanghai, Singapore and London.
