Passengers urged to offer information on vessel collision
The Marine Department today (Sunday) appeals to witnesses of the vessel collision case involving Jetfoil "Flores" to come forward to offer assistance to an inquiry.

A 24-hour telephone hotline 2545 0181 and a facsimile hotline 2541 7714 have been set up to collect information on the incident.

Jetfoil "Flores" reportedly collided with an unknown object while enroute from Hong Kong to Macau at around 12.12 pm yesterday, injuring a total of 117 passengers and five crewmen on board.

The Director of Marine has ordered a preliminary inquiry into the incident, and a surveyor of the department has been appointed to take charge of the inquiry.

Passengers on board the jetfoil and any other people on board passing-by vessels who has witnessed the incident are urged to make use of the telephone and facsimile hotlines to provide information.
