| Inquiry into vessels on fire ordered | ||

| The Director of Marine, Mr Tsui Shung-yiu,
has ordered a Local Marine Inquiry into the circumstances surrounding
the fire which broke out on pleasure vessel "Dragon Venture"
and spread to four other boats in Causeway Bay typhoon shelter
yesterday (April 18) afternoon.
In accordance with the powers granted under section 58 of the Shipping and Port Control Ordinance, the Director of Marine appointed Surveyor of Ships, Mr Leung Wing-fai, to be the Investigating Officer. Wednesday, 19 April 2000 |
