(B) List of Competent Examiners (Registered Professional Engineers) (updated as on 7 December 2011)
Under the two captioned Works Regulations, Registered Professional Engineers (RPE) of Mechanical or Marine and Naval Architecture discipline are eligible to act as “competent examiner s”. The full list of RPE can be found or obtainable from the register of Engineer Registration Board’s (ERB) web-page at: http://www.erb.org.hk/search.htm. The following list provides contact information on those Registered Professional Engineers (RPE) who have expressed their intention to act as “Competent Examiner” to provide services on carrying out testing and examination, thorough examinations and certification of lifting appliances and lifting gear for the purposes of the Merchant Shipping (Works) Regulations (Cap 548 I) and Shipping and Port Control (Works) Regulations (Cap 313 X)
