Deputy Departmental Secretary has been designated as the Access to Information Officer of the Marine Department responsible for ensuring that requests for information under the Code on Access to Information are properly dealt with in accordance with the specified procedures.

Requests for information on records held by Marine Department may be made by letter or application form (download PDF file to be printed on A4 paper) obtainable from the General Registry of the Marine Department, 21/F, Harbour Building, 38 Pier Road, Central, Hong Kong. Applications should be addressed to :

  3. A list of records by category kept by the department
  4. A list of publications made available to the public free of charge or at a cost
  5. Information on the procedures for making requests for access to information

Other than publications/information available free of charge or through our existing charging system, the following photocopying charge will be levied:

Photocopying, black and white on A3 or A4 size paper HK$9 per copy of registers/records governed under the Shipping & Port Control Regulations (Cap.313). For other copies not specifically governed by enactments, the charge is HK$1 per copy.
